Paris-Nice 2014: stage three – photo gallery

John Degenkolb sprints into the yellow jersey on Magny-Cours

Idyllic riding conditions, stunning scenery and a finish on one of Europe’s most famous motor racing circuits – stage three of Paris-Nice certainly delivered for the spectators.

And at the third time of asking, after two second place finishes, John Degenkolb (Giant-Shimano) won the stage to move into the yellow jersey before the hillier stages begin.

Attention will now turn to the riders more at home on lumpier terrain, but with the fast men taking centre stage on the billiard table-smooth tarmac of Magny-Cours, photographer Pascal Perreve was on hand to capture all of the action.

Relive the stage in the full screen gallery of his photos below, which we bring you with the kind permission of race organisers, the ASO.
