That was the clear message dished out by Mark Cavendish and Alberto Contador after a spectacular stage 13.
If the proverbial fat lady was clearing her throat, soon to declare Cavendish’s title of sprint king lost and the general classification to be as good as done, she had not told El Pistolero and the Manx Missile.
The two lived up to their nicknames with some incredible accelerations as Contador blew the race for the yellow jersey wide open again, and Cavendish sealed his 25th career stage victory.
