Just four days ago, Orica-GreenEDGE had never won a Tour de France stage and they were being ridiculed around the world when their team bus got trapped under the finish line, causing the first stage of the 100th Tour to end in chaos.
However, they will be sharing a tinnie or two Down Under after the Australian team followed yesterday’s stage victory by Simon Gerrans with success in the team time trial in Nice – a result which puts Gerrans into the yellow jersey.
Having taken in picturesque Corsica for the first time over the last three days, cycling’s greatest race moved to mainland France for the fourth stage.
