Alexander Kristoff kick-started Katusha’s season with their first victory of the season on stage two of the Tour of Oman.
The Norwegian profitted from Andre Greipel suffering a mechanical and timed his sprint to perfection to hold off Leigh Howard in Quriyat.
Howard may have lost the battle, for the second stage running, but is he now leading overall – the red jersey a more-than-adequate consolation for the Australian.
