The WorldTour action is continuing to come thick and fast, with the Tour of Poland rolling out of Gdansk for its 71st edition.
With a cast of riders including the Kings of the Mountain at both the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France, there is certainly no shortage of star quality on show.
But while Julian Arredondo (Trek Factory Racing) and Rafal Majka (Tinkoff-Saxo) may well represent the stars of the future, it was a blast from the past who took the leader’s jersey on stage one.
Yauheni Hutarovich (Ag2r-La Mondiale), whose last top-tier stage victory was at the 2010 Vuelta a Espana, will swap the green and red stripes of Belarussian champion for the yellow of race leader after winning a crash-laden stage one.
