Giro d’Italia 2016: TV schedule

Where and when you can catch the first Grand Tour of the season on television

The Giro d’Italia is upon us and Eurosport will broadcast live coverage of every stage of the race, which starts in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, on Friday (May 6).

Vincenzo Nibali starts as favourite, as the Italian looks to add a second Giro title to his palmares following his 2013 victory, but the Astana rider will face stiff competition from Team Sky’s Mikel Landa, a two-time stage winner and third overall last year, and Movistar’s Alejandro Valverde, who is leading a Giro team for the first time.

This year’s 3,420km route includes six summit finishes, with the first comes on stage six of the race.

Eurosport’s commentary will come from Rob Hatch and Sean Kelly, with former Team Sky riders Juan Antonio Flecha in the studio. Regular highlights shows will also be broadcast throughout the race.
