The action from the Ardennes Classics continues to come thick and fast this week, with La Fleche Wallonne next up.

After Enrico Gasparotto’s Amstel Gold Race victory on Sunday, attention turns from the Cauberg to the fearsome Mur de Huy, where Wednesday’s race will be decided.

Alejandro Valverde, winner of the last two editions, returns bidding for a back-to-back hat-trick and a fourth career win at La Fleche Wallonne in all.

The Movistar man will face stiff competition from the usual array of big names tempted to come down from the mountains for Ardennes Week though, and with the explosive Mur de Huy finish it promises to be a typically action-packed race.
