Liege-Bastogne-Liege is the oldest race on the calendar and the 101st edition takes place on Sunday to end the 2015 spring Classics season.
The final race of Ardennes week will see puncheurs and Grand Tour contenders go wheel-to-wheel in a bid to add the season’s fourth Monument to their palmares.
With a route littered with climbs, including the iconic La Redoute and Cote de Stockeu, Liege-Bastogne-Liege is one of the toughest races on the calendar, and one which can be won by a late escapee or from a select sprint.
After pitting their wits against each other at the Amstel Gold Race and La Fleche Wallonne already this week, the riders likely to be at the sharp end have all been finding their racing legs.
The first two hilly Classics, Amstel Gold Race and La Fleche Wallonne, have given us a chance to assess the form of many of the key contenders for Sunday’s race. Who can we expect to be in the mix? Read on for our form guide.
