Edvald Boasson Hagen (MTN-Qhubeka)
Former winner Edvald Boasson Hagen returns to the Tour of Britain after leaving Team Sky for MTN-Qhubeka last winter.
The Norwegian champion will race on the back of top-ten finishes at the Tour of Denmark and Artic Race of Norway, and arrives with a strong support squad for the sprint stages.
Tyler Farrar, Reianrdt Janse van Rensburg and 2013 stage winner Gerald Ciolek are all included in the line-up, while Daniel Teklehaimanot, who famously pulled on the King of the Mountains jersey at the Tour de France, will seek out breakaways and Serge Pauwels is their man for the overall.
Boasson Hagen has the power and the sprint train to cause a potential upset on fast finished but will more likely come onto his own on tougher Classics-like stages which rule out pure sprinters like Mark Cavendish and Andre Greipel.
