Tao Geoghegan Hart (Great Britain)
Team Sky stagiaire Tao Geoghegan Hart will ride for a strong Great Britain national team line-up in a race in which he finished 15th last year.
Geoghegan Hart, 20, was crowned best young rider at the USA Pro Challenge at the end of August, in his final race of the season for the Axeon Cycling Team, and has impressed for Axel Merckx’s development team with good showings through the season.
Now he races for a team which also includes fellow Team Sky stagiaire Alex Peters and Caja Rural climber Hugh Carthy – the man he beat to the blue jersey in Colorado.
Each of the three are capable of mixing it with the best riders, and with options for the Hartside Fell summit finish the team could be set for a result to rival Simon Yates’ second-place in 2013.
