Tour de France 2014: stage 21 – rider reaction

Vincenzo Nibali secures yellow, Marcel Kittel wins in Paris... and Jens Voigt's fried breakfast

The curtain has fallen on the 101st edition of the Tour de France.

Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) has been crowned champion, and in doing so has become only the sixth rider in history to win all three Grand Tours, and Marcel Kittel (Giant-Shimano) book-ended the Tour by winning on the Champs-Elysees, 21 stages and a further two victories after crossing the finish line first in Harrogate.

The final stage of the Tour also saw Jens Voigt, riding his 17th and final edition, bow out with a trademark attack in Paris, and the 42-year-old German woke up today (Monday July 28) and enjoyed a fried breakfast, rather than the muesli that has become his staple diet over the last three weeks.

Here’s the best of the Twitter reaction from the final day of the 2014 Tour de France.
