Team Wiggins rider reflects on a tough opening stage

Stage one of the Tour de Yorkshire proved to be a tough day out for Team Wiggins.

A crash less than 500m into the race brought down Andy Tennant, Scott Davies and Sir Bradley Wiggins. Davies, the team’s GC hope, retired and Wiggins soon followed him.

Tennant battled on to the finish, where LottoNL-Jumbo’s Dylan Groenewegen claimed victory in the bunch sprint, and in his short video blog the former track world champion looks back on the day’s action.
