BMC Racing uploaded a number of videos from the race, including this teaser of life inside the peloton at one of the season’s most eagerly-awaited races.
The video shows the bunch rolling out of the iconic Grote Markt at the start in Bruges to setting the pace on the front of the bunch and picking the best line on the cobbles.
The footage also offers a peloton’s-eye view of the collapsed air bridge which nearly wreaked havoc on the race. Riders were forced to duck under the air bridge to avoid further carnage at a race which had already seen two riders – Jesse Sergent and Sebastien Chavanel – injured in incidents involving the neutral service vehicles.
Once again, these videos help to offer another view of key incidents in the race, some of which may be missed by overhead or moto footage, or which might not seem quite so significant from other angles.
