Anticipation is building for the opening of the inaugural Yorkshire Bicycle Show.
With Britain’s largest county set to command the world’s attention next July when the Grand Depart of the 101st Tour de France rolls out of Leeds, the show will attempt to set the tone for a year of cycling mania in the north of the country.
This year’s show will showcase some of the nation’s best frame builders, including Ricky Feather of Feather Cycles.
Legendary Birmingham tube manufacturer, Reynolds, will be among the exhibitors at the inaugural show, to be held at historic Leeds Town Hall.
Japanese frames from Tokyo Fixed, house brand of London’s Kinoko Cycles, will be among the handmade wares on display.
Bespoke titanium finery from Baldwin, hand printed cycling posters from Dynamo Works, and custom wheels from York concern, Your Spokes, will also be on display.
RoadCyclngUK will host live interviews with Ricky Feather, and Tom Cutting and Sam Hodgson from the Lift Agency, the design duo behind Mark Cavendish’s CVNDSH logo, among others.
RCUK’s sister site, Total Women’s Cycling, will also be at the show, sharing advice and support to female cyclists.
The Yorkshire Bicycle Show opens at 3pm on Friday September 20 for trade and press, and opens to the public at 10am the following day, closing at 6pm on Sunday September 22.
On-the-day entry costs £6 per day. Tickets can be bought in advance for £5, with a 50p booking fee. RCUK has joined forces with the show’s organisers to offer a two-for-one entry. Follow this link for further details.
