British legend Chris Boardman will return as an ambassador for Action Medical Research’s fifth annual Champions of CycleSport Dinner in 2014.
The dinner, to be held on Thursday November 27, will move to a new venue for 2014 – the Battersea Evolution – and follows last year’s event, which raised £185,000 for charity.
Guests will dine with some of the greats of cycling, with Sir Dave Brailsford and Martyn Ashton already confirmed for this year’s event.
Sir Chris Hoy, Jody Cundy, Sean Kelly and Hannah Barnes were also in attendance last year, alongside Boardman.
“I’m very proud to be an ambassador for the Champions of CycleSport Dinner. It’s a fantastic event and it’s a fantastic charity,” said Boardman.
“I know first-hand, my son George was born prematurely and benefitted from the work which charities like Action do. It’s really easy to help, just get on your bike and ride for a reason.”
