Chasing the sun on evening rides
Summer has its frustrations, namely being trapped at work, staring out of the window when the sun is shining and there’s riding to be done.
But one of the great joys of summer is leaving the office and being able to take the long way home with two, three, maybe even four hours of daylight left. The regular commute turns into a ‘proper’ ride, escaping the urban environment and venturing out into the lanes to pedal away life’s daily stresses.
Long evening rides become a realistic proposition, chasing the sun as it drops down towards the horizon, all the while telling yourself that you’ll stay out for just one more hour…
