Earlier this month 13,500 hardy riders set off to complete the Etape du Tour and as reward for those who finished, Rapha Racing are offering a free drink at their Cycle Club in London’s Soho on Saturday.
To celebrate the Brewer Street shop’s first birthday and the penultimate stage of this year’s Tour de France, anybody joining them to watch the stage can claim a free drink by bringing their Etape race number.
This year’s l’Etape du Tour followed the 130km route of Saturday’s stage 20, which ended with a summit finish up Le Semnoz.
Among those riding was our very own George Scott, who chronicled his preparation, training and the ride here on RoadCyclingUK.
The celebrations are not just confined to Etape riders however, as Rapha have promised to crack open the champagne on Sunday should Chris Froome (Team Sky) win the centenary Tour.
Rapha, the manufacturers of Team Sky’s kit since announcing a four-year deal at the start of 2013, opened the doors of their Cycle Club at 85 Brewer Street, Soho, London, in time for the last two stages of the 2012 Tour.
Having popped a few corks to celebrate Bradley Wiggins famous victory, they are now hoping for a repeat with Froome this year.
So why not join their birthday celebrations and watch the final stages of what has been a gripping Tour?
Rapha also offer the chance to buy their Cycle Club clothing and accessories – including the Team Sky range – alongside coffee, food, free wi-fi and cycling memorabilia.
