It is coming to that time of year when preparations for the big summer sportives begin to get serious.
Whether it is one of the greats, like La Marmotte or the Etape du Tour, or if you just want to improve your times on an event closer to home, everybody has big targets for the summer months.
Our coaching columnist and sportive guru Mike Cotty, a veteran of some of the biggest and best sportives on the calendar and a rider well known for his extraordinary endurance feats is certainly no stranger to training at this time of year.
Having tackled the Pyrenees, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, non-stop in 2011 before performing an epic, again non-stop, 677km traverse from Evian-les-Bains to Nice in 2013, Mike knows all about preparing for a big event.
And he will be hosting his latest question and answer session over on Media-24’s Facebook page on Monday June 2, from 8pm to 9pm.
Got a question you want answering, or just in need of some general advice? Mike will be dishing out advice garnered from more than 20 years’ experience.
