Fancy riding through Vietnam for charity? Riders are wanted to tackle the ‘cycle adventure of a lifetime’ in November.

The ten-day ‘Cycle A Difference’ event will raise money for Newborns Vietnam – a UK-registered, volunteer-based charity which works to reduce the high levels of neonatal mortality and illness in South East Asia.

Riders will take on a route which is more than 800 miles long, rolling out of Lao Cai, near to the Chinese border, and spending five days in the mountains before venturing onto the historic Ho Chi Minh trail and the iconic Hai Van pass en-route to the finish in Da Nang. Ride captain Luke Humphreys wrote about his brutal but beautiful experience from the 2013 event here.

The event is open to any rider pledging to raise £3,000 in sponsorship for the charity. The ride promises ‘epic biking, amazing scenery, towering mountains and cascading rice terraces’, and ends with a heroes welcome at the Da Nang Hospital for Women & Children to recognise each rider’s fundraising efforts.
