Twelve more must-ride climbs for your bucket list

More of the longest, hardest and highest climbs to ride

The climb of Trollstigen, which translates to Troll’s Ladder, is one of the most dramatic places in the world to ride a bike.

Deep in the mountains of western Norway, the main climb is 12.2km at 7 per cent, so while not long nor steep compared to some of the climbs on our bucket list, none can match it for the incredible landscape through which is passes.

Eleven hairpins carve a path up the mountain surrounded by deep fjords, cascading waterfalls, lush valleys and sheer cliffs. Soak it in over every pedal revolution before you reach the summit at 870m.
