Goodwood House near Chichester, West Sussex is synonymous with events of a certain calibre.
The Goodwood Revival, Glorious Goodwood, and more recently, Vintage at Goodwood, are social occasions as much as an opportunity to enjoy vintage racing cars, horse racing, and fashion.
Cycling gets its turn in Goodwood’s rarified surroundings from July 26 to 28 when the Orbital Cycling Festival sets up camp.
An eclectic racing programme will include a keirin race, scratch race, and time trial on the estate’s famous motor racing circuit, and a cyclo-cross race on the in-field.
The paddock will host an expo, said to have a bias towards track and road cycling, and a themed cycling café serving cappuccino and espresso coffees.
On-site camping is offered, with optional breakfasts served in the Goodwood Hotel.
The event is aimed at families and cyclists of all abilities, and includes demonstrations from the Animal Bike Tour, roller racing, and a family relay.
Registration for racing and camping has opened.
