The Bespoked Bristol show of handmade bicycles will be held next month, and organiser, Phil Taylor, has sent us another of his “Meet the Makers” videos to provide an insight into the passion of the cycle craftsman.
The fourth installment in the series focuses on Andy Sexton, once of Planet X bikes, and now the man behind Bristol’s Bike Science facility, where he uses the Retul image capture system of bike fitting favoured by the Radioshack-Nissan-Trek WorldTour team among others.

“It’s about comfort, but without comfort, there’s no sustainable power output, and without a comfortable, efficient position on the bike, you’re increasing your chance of injury. What we do is all about looking at the posture of the rider, and the movement of the rider on the bike, and making them as comfortable as possible,” says Sexton.
Bespoked Bristol will be held at Brunel’s Old Station from March 23 to March 25. Seventy exhibitors including Argos Racing Cycles, Condor, and Engima, will show their wares at the three-day show, allowing those who have appreciated the frame builder’s art to meet its practitioners.
