GreenEDGE are the newest addition to the WorldTour peloton.
Managed by the former head of Australian cycle sport, Shayne Bannan, backed by Australian business man, Gerry Ryan, and with a majority of Australian riders, GreenEDGE brings a distinct Antipodean flavour to world cycling’s top tier.
Victory on Wednesday (7) in the team time trial at Tirreno-Adriatico provided further evidence that GreenEDGE are not content simply to make up the numbers.
January saw the riders deliver the perfect start to the GreenEDGE project with overall victory for Simon Gerrans at the 2012 Santos Tour Down Under.

The video features interviews with some of the best-known names in Australian cycling, including Stuart O’Grady and Robbie McEwen.
“We’re just a new, young team that is out to do good things,” says O’Grady. “The Australian attitude will hopefully come through and we’ll be out there giving 100 per cent in every race.”
