Looking for a new challenge in 2010? Why not explore the roads of Cornwall with one of three new coastal Cornish cycle tours now being offered by Cornish Cycle Tours.
Specialist holiday operator, Cornish Cycle Tours has created two new routes for 2010: the seven day South Coast Tour visits many of Cornwall’s famous landmarks; while two versions of the Coast to Coast Tour link the tranquil south coast and spectacular surfing beaches of the North Cornish coast in a circular route.
The three new tours bring the total available to ten, ranging from two to seven days cycling in duration. All tours include daily luggage transfers and B&B accommodation in quality inns and guesthouses.
“Our new tours are all aimed at the recreational cyclist who wants to experience the fantastic scenery, food and attractions that Cornwall has to offer, says Lan Rowe of Cornish Cycle Tours.
“Both of the new seven day tours cover less than 20 miles a day on average, so there’s plenty of time to stop wherever you like – whether it’s sampling the award-winning wine at Camel Valley Vineyard or cooling off with a quick swim at one of the many stunning beaches along the route.”
Starting from the North Cornish market town of Wadebridge, the seven day/six night South Coast Tour follows quiet country lanes and dedicated cycle trails on a carefully-planned route, which hugs the coast from Charlestown to St Just in the county’s far west.
The 106 mile tour calls in at some of Cornwall’s best-loved landmarks, including the Eden Project, Caerhays Castle and gardens, St Michael’s Mount, Porthcurno’s Minack Theatre and Land’s End. The South Coast Tour costs £525 per person including six nights B&B accommodation and luggage transfers.
