The brainchild of two athletes who ‘wanted a little more from the sports clothing they wear’, Yew Clothing is a collection of performance-oriented apparel that is made from 100% recycled materials.
Yew’s collection of performance tops and jackets feature everything you would normally expect from clothing intended to cope during physical exertion, but are made with 100% recycled polyester from consumer waste. Which means that the fabric used to create them is produced from re-processed plastics like drinks bottles, helping to reduce waste.
While not being designed specifically for cycling, we see no reason why the clothing in its range shouldn’t offer everything the active cyclist looks for in clothing.
The Everywear Performance top for example is made from 100% recycled polyester with a lightweight wicking fabric featuring flat-lock stitching, seamless shoulders to avoid chafing and a range of colours. Prices for the short sleeve is £25.00 and the long sleeve £27.50.
For colder climes the Local Warming Jacket is a fleece-lined jacket made using a breathable material cut with a slim fitted shape and featuring hidden pockets, a seamless shoulder to aid comfort and a fold-over zip to protect the neck. Available in Carbon Grey and Skyrise Blue priced £55.00.
Yew also offers a range of casual, fitted t-shirts, made from super-soft, super-comfy organic cotton with a graphic print across the chest.
