RCUK was invited up to a plush hotel on the outskirts of Birmingham recently to take a close look at the entire Giant 2010 product range. Traditionally a company at the forefront of current bicycle technology, the latest range shoes the company isn’t afraid of innovation with some stunning new bikes being released.
We’ll bring you a full look at the highlights of the new bikes, but for now we thought that we’d focus on the undoubted star of the new range, the Giant Trinity Advanced SL. This bike was developed when Giant was the official bike supplier to what is now Columbia-HTC, but is now being raced in anger by the Rabobank squad.

Key to the Trinity’s design, and that which makes it stand out from previous time trial frame designs, is the radical front end. The ‘AeroDrive’ is a stem-and-fork combination that combines the stem, steerer tube and fork crown into one structural element, placing the handlebars far lower than would be possible with a traditional design.
