Delkin Devices camera bar mount

Delkin Devices has launched the Fat Gecko, a camera mount designed to securely attach any camera or video camera to the handlebars.

Rather ingeniously, the Fat Gecko makes use of the stem bolts to fix the mount into place, and a small adjustable sliding bracket on the back sits on top of the stem. It’s designed to be compatible with most stem types.

The Fat Gecko utilises a universal tripod screw. Once the mount is installed, a camera can be removed and re-attached independently using a built in quick-release. A ball-joint makes for easy repositioning of the camera.

“With the exploding popularity of social networking sites and the phenomenon of YouTube, riders are excited to be able to share their adventures with other enthusiasts without adding extra bulk, installation time, or weight to their bike” says Martin Wood, Delkin’s CEO. “Our goal at Delkin has always been to invent products that are innovative and useful, and we’re excited to continue exploring ways to inspire our customers in the future.”

A rugged lightweight construction ensures that the mount won’t crack, bend, rust or break during use. It weighs just 0.9lbs, and is rated to hold cameras over 16oz on road bikes, and under 16oz for mountain bikes.

The Fat Gecko is available now at all good photo and video dealers or at www.delkin.com for £49.99.
