The Garmin Edge 510, unveiled back in January, is designed for riders who want comprehensive ride data at their fingertips. The GPS computers records a wide range of data, including distance, speed metrics, ascent/descent, and gradient, and can be paired with an ANT+ compatible heart rate monitor and speed/cadence sensor.
The unit offers 20 hours of battery life and is also bluetooth compatible, so it can be linked to your smartphone. The Garmin Connect app allows you to analyse your ride on the move, download new routes and courses from Garmin Connect, and wirelessly upload your ride to Garmin Connect.
The Edge 510 can also pull-in live weather updates and the new LiveTrack feature allows friends and family to follow your progress in real-time on a Garmin Connect tracking page.
