Oakley launch the Radar

With 30 years behind them and many of the world’s best athletes winning in their products, Oakley undoubtedly have a lot of experience in designing glasses. The latest model to hit the 2007 range is the Radar.

An evolution of the M-Frame (the perennial classic for athletes from many different sports), the Radar is the coming together of several different previous styles. There’s the same interchangeable lens design, but with several interesting new features. Chief among them is a revolutionary (it says here) hydrophobic lens coating, which means that water, sweat, skin oils, fingerprints and dust slide right off the lenses. It’s a permanent lens coating, which as well as resisting water from leaving streaks, also has anti-static properties so they won’t get all dusty.

“Surge ports” to help demisting feature not only across the top of the lens, as seen elsewhere in the Oakley range, but also in the aerodynamically designed frame. There’s a range of lenses available for different conditions, available in three lens shapes. And to enable a better fit, a choice of two nosepieces.
