And our lucky winner of the pair of tickets to the talk at Lord’s Cricket Ground, on Sunday October 20, from 12.15pm-1.15pm is Stephen Davies.

Certain countries have become synonymous with cycling in recent years – France, Spain and Italy for the Grand Tours, Belgium for its one-day Classics, Colombia with its climbing specialists, and even now Britain as phenomenal success on the track and tarmac have powered our little island up the cycling ladder.

When thinking of countries famous for their cycling though, Rwanda is probably not one that came to mind.

But that could soon change, as the Rwandan cycling team emerged from the ashes of a country ravaged by war and genocide with the goal of representing their country at the 2012 Olympic Games.

Lewis will be talking about the fascinating rise of the Rwandan cycling team as part of a series of sporting talks at the ‘Home of Cricket’.

Lewis’ talk will also followed by a host of big cycling names, with Charly Wegelius and Rob Hayles discussing their experiences of professional cycling and Rod Ellingworth talking about his book Project Rainbow.
