Rumoured to be in the offing early in 2009, the Brooks Colt is a faithful recreation of a model discontinued by the Smethwick firm back in the 1980s.
The look of the original Colt, introduced primarily for the US market, was a big departure from the classic lines of leather saddles of the era such as the Professional and B17, referencing instead the ‘delta’ profile of influential contemporary composite saddles such as the San Marco Concor.
Despite its innovative looks, the Colt won many admirers amongst leather saddle lovers and is considered one of the most comfortable models to come from the British manufacturer.
The new Colt is still in development but should be priced at around £120 when it arrives and will be offered in a choice of colours.
