We reported a while ago that Team Liquigas have switched from Bianchi to Cannondale steeds for 2007, and Cannondale today launched their freshly painted team bikes. The team will have the choice of the System Six, Synapse SL or Six13 Slice frames, so should all possible situations covered with this selection.
Liquigas have also signed up some new riders. Inaugural ProTour overall winner Danilo Di Luca returns aboard a Cannondale with the spring classics and the Giro d’Italia as his main objectives. Di Luca capped his 2006 season off with an impressive win at the Vuelta d’Espana.
And newcomer Filippo Pozzato sets out with the immediate goal of defending his Milan-San Remo title. Pippo joins many of his past teammates at Liquigas, like sprinter Francesco Chicchi and the American-registered Guido Trenti, and places a certain amount of team leadership on his shoulders for the classics and stage victories in the major tours.
