Condor 2007

It was at the London Cycle Show when the 2007 range of Condor’s were revealed for the first time. Condor have been producing bikes for years, and quietly expanding the range in many directions. There’s now six new models in the revamped range, including an Italia for women, a re-shuffle of the singlespeed range, a new cyclo-cross bike and a brand new, all singing, all dancing carbon frame. There’s also a bigger list of upgrades too, and the choice of the new Campag and SRAM groupsets.

We’ve taken a few RCUK hot picks from the new range.

Baracchi

This frame has been in development for a while, and now they’re happy for it to enter production. Five sizes will be available with the uni-directional 12k carbon, with a custom Force 4 fork up front.

Starting prices £1199.99

Leggero

Marking a change in visual direction, the Leggero demonstrates a new, more striking set of decals. We think it looks good, and the frame weight has been reduced with a new SL rear end.

Prices £1,499.99 frame only or builds from £1849.99

Squadra

A popular choice at local races, and the frame employed by the Rapha Condor Race Team. A few tweaks to the rear triangle, now with a 12k carbon, used too in the forks. Build kits now include Mirage, Veloce, Centaur, 105, Ultrega and Force and Rival from SRAM.

Starting prices £1099.99

Italia

The main frame is now built from Force tubes, for a more responsive and lighter ride than the previous Fire tubeset.

Starting prices £749.99

Bellissima

Built from the same tubeset as the Italia, the Bellissima is designed from the ground-up for the female rider, equally at home in far flung sportives or leading the bunch in the local crit race.

Starting prices £749.99

Baracchi Cross

For fans of running around fields, the Baracchi Cross is a new model to the range. An aluminium frame is complimented by carbon seat and chain stays and a carbon fork.

Starting prices £1299.99

Grand Fondo

Hands up if you like to dabble in the occasional Audax. We reckon this bike will make a great commuter/winter trainer too.

Starting prices £1799.99

Pista

This is where Condor have really bulked up their range. These one geared bikes are a popular site around London. Main changes are longer cast dropouts and a straight blade carbon fork (with rake as an option). Three colours – Sky Blue, Battleship Grey and Black are available.

Starting prices £699.99

Tempo

Fancy a Pista but want to fit a set of mudguards? The Tempo will take a set of guards and racks, with clearance for 28mm tyres, will curved seat stays – like the Fratello – for a bit more comfort.

Starting prices £699.99

Percorso

Take a Pista and swap the steel tubes for those made from titanium, and you have the Percorso.

Starting prices £1,749.99

Lavoro and Stadio

It’s true, we like track bikes. Ok, we love track bikes. The aluminium Lavaro and carbon Stadio look simply stunning.

Lavoro starting price £949.99. Stadio £1,999.99.

Elsewhere in the Condor line-up will be the yet-to-be-released CNC singlespeed hubs, chainrings and sprockets.
