Fresh out of the RoadCyclingUK mailbag, here’s a quick look at a handful of recent additions to Edinburgh Bicycle Co-Operative’s own-brand Revolution range.
Inspired by their slogan, ‘The Revolution Will Not Be Motorised’, the collection, available from Edinburgh Bicycle Co-Operative’s six shops or online at www.edinburghbicycle.com, covers bicycles, equipment and clothing.
First up, the Revolution Tune-Up Multi 15 has, you guessed it, 15 functions, with 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8mm Allen keys, flat and Phillips-head screwdrivers, chain tool, four sizes of spoke wrench and a T25 Torx wrench.
The individual tools are manufactured from hardened steel, while the red side plates are anodised aluminium. The Revolution Tune-Up Multi 15 weighs 164g and retails at £14.99.
Next up we have the Revolution Flash Silicone LED Front Light and Rear Light. Strictly speaking they’re separate products and will set you back £9.99 a piece.
The front light boasts three modes, while the rear light has two. Both lights have a run time of up to 11 hours and are USB rechargable. The tool-free fitting means you can strap the lights on to your handlebars or seatpost in a jiffy using the silicon band, perfect if you’re unexpectedly caught out in the dark or for switching quickly between bikes.
Finally, pictured here are the Revolution Protect Road Mudguards. Weighing 224g for the set, the mudguards fit bikes with either 700c or 26″ tyres and feature a rigid plastic construction to stand up to the elements.
No mudguards eyelets are required, just clearance between the fork crown and front tyre. We’ll report back with how easy they are to fit.
