Say hello to the new Independent Fabrication Corvid. Yes your eyes aren’t deceiving you, it is made from carbon. The company better known for its gloriously beautiful steel and titanium creations has dabbled in carbon before, but this is the company’s first full carbon frame.
And my god are doesn’t it look fantastic. IF kept two objectives in mind when penning this frame; “no compromises in our full custom philosophy and make it distinctive, both visually and technically.”
Every Corvid customer can expect a fully custom frameset moulded to the exact specification using a proprietary bladder molding technology. To ensure it stands out from the crowd (and let’s admit it, the carbon bike place is getting mighty populated these days) IF has created beautifully rendered crown shaped lugs.
There are little flourishes that one would expect from IF elsewhere on the frame too. Custom machined 6/4 titanium dropouts, Edge forks in custom off-sets, integrated head set and a choice of decals and finish treatments. And a lifetime warranty.
How does it ride you ask? Well, fortunately RCUK has been offered an exclusive first ride on it. And where better place to test it than 10 demanding days riding in the French Alps.
