BMC bikes will now be available through Evans Cycles in an exclusive deal that will see them stocked in the shop chain’s 35 stores.

BMC have been available only intermittently in the UK for the past couple of years, but for 2010, along with the bolstering of the professional race team with signings including George Hincapie and Cadel Evans, next year could see them breakthrough into the mainstream.

“The pedigree of the brand is undoubted and we’ve been very impressed with the quality of the 2010 range.  Bringing BMC into the UK and stocking it in our stores is really exciting and offers British cyclists even more choice when it comes to riding top notch bikes,” says Head Bike Buyer at Evans Cycles, Joel Natale. “Taking them in direct means we can offer these great bikes at realistic prices.”

Highlight of the 2010 range is the Team Machine SLR 01 (£4999.99). This top-end bike makes use of nano carbon technology with ‘Tuned Compliance Concept’ to make the frame stiff yet comfortable. A choice of specs is available including Campagnolo Super Record, SRAM Red, or Shimano Dura.

At the more reasonable end of the price scale is the Streetfire SSX (£1199.99), combining an aluminium frame and Shimano 105 groupset.
