Fabric Chamber

Unconventional, convenient, pocket-sized cycling multi-tool from British brand

Fabric don’t do conventional. They look and see where conventional’s at, and start from somewhere else. The British brand take ideas from beyond the cycling industry and apply engineering and manufacturing technology to create products that strike a balance between form and function. And that’s how the Chamber multi-tool was born.

In essence, it’s a standard multi-tool. It has Allen keys, Phillips head and flat head screwdrivers and torx keys – basically everything you’ll realistically need if you have to stop mid-ride and make a few tweaks. In fact, it has 13 tools in all and weighs just 162g, making it easily light and compact enough to slip into a jersey pocket or saddlebag.

The Fabric Chamber is basically a compact, lightweight multi-tool. But it isn’t, it’s better

But what makes it so special? Well that much is clear just looking at it, the design is wonderful and all the attachments pack into a small chamber while the top of the tool provides a T-bar system for added leverage. Just pick out the tool you need, slide it to a suitable length and tighten away.

On top of that, the unit is a reversible ratchet, you can tighten clockwise or anti-clockwise depending on which direction you need to turn, making even tight adjustments far more manageable. Or, if you don’t fancy the ratchet system, you can buy a version with a fixed head that’ll work far more like a standard multi-tool.

The 13 tools in the chamber come in the form of six double ended bits and an 8mm over sized bit for pedal installation and removal. You’ll find 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8mm allen bits, T10 and T25 torx keys, SL3 and SL5 flat head screwdrivers and PH1 and PH2 Philips head screwdrivers.

The non-ratchet version is £29.99, and the ratcheting tool is a fiver more at £34.99. It’s basically a compact, lightweight multi-tool. But it isn’t, it’s better.
