Fulcrum have unveiled limited edition versions of their existing Racing Zero and Racing 1 wheelsets, with the new hoops set to arrive in the UK next month.
Both wheelsets feature a Mega Drive Side Hub Flange which increases stiffness by eight per cent (5.7kg/mm to 6.2kg/mm on both models), while reducing the weight of the rear wheel, with the Limited Edition Racing Zero Competition wheels down from 825g to 800g, and the Racing 1 Competitions hoops now 808g instead of 851g.
The new Limited Edition Racing Zero Competition wheels also feature Cult bearings, which Fulcrum say are nine times smoother than standard steel cartridge bearings.
Fulcrum is an arm of Italian component manufacturer Campagnolo, producing Shimano and SRAM-compatible wheels since 2004. If you’re unfamiliar with the existing Racing Zero and Racing 1 wheels, they have machined aluminium rims, with a rim depth of 26mm at the front and 30mm at the rear.
Prices for the new models, which get updated graphics, are £799.99 for the Racing 1 Competition wheels, while the Racing Zero Competition’s will set you back £1,099.99.
