Aether 10
In just a few short years Genesis has evolved into a fully-rounded bicycle range, covering all angles of cycling. For 2010 Genesis has brought in the services of a design agency so there’s a raft of new graphics across the range, introducing a cool and fresh new look.
New paint aside, there’s also a couple of interesting new bikes in there, including the Aether, Equilibrium and, it says here, a “quirky singlespeed cyclo-cross bike complete with knobbly tyres and cantilevers and available with a flat bar or drops.”
The new Aether Series is built around a triple butted aluminium frame matched with a carbon fibre fork and, with its 57mm calipers, rack and mudguard mounts and clearance for 32mm tyres, should be perfectly suited to those in the market for a winter training and/or commuting bike. Prices start from £599.99 for the Aether 10 with Shimano 2300/Sora components and the £799.99 Aether 20 gets Shimano Tiagra/105 parts.

The cyclo-cross season is rapidly approaching and the brand’s Vapour looks better than ever. A new bold ‘fire engine red’ paintjob looks good on the 6060 ALX-9 TB frame paired with a carbon fork and shod with Shimano 105/Tiagra components. A new front hanger mount is claimed to offer more positive braking performance. It’ll set you back £849.99.

A hit with the RCUK team when it was first launched, the £599.99 Flyer has been given a new lighter Reynolds 520 frameset and a lugged steel stiletto fork.
