Knog Boomer USB mini lights

Looking externally identical to the standard Boomer “Battery” model, Knog’s Boomer USB front and rear lights contain, instead of a pair of AAA cells, an integrated lithium-ion polymer rechargeable battery, which is recharged by plugging the light into a computer USB port or USB charger.

Light output is an impressive 55/30 lumens front/rear with a selection of five modes including flashing, strobe, constant and “storage”, which maintains the battery at a peak condition-preserving 50percent charge when not in use for an extended period. The lens contains a low-battery indicator. Charge time is between two and four hours.

Construction comprises the same silicon rubber exoskin fitting closely over a hard plastic housing. The securing band is part of the silicon moulding and attaches to a hook in the housing. The front and rear lights are designed to sit over horizontal and vertical tubes respectively and the band will easily stretch to acccommodate oversized handlebars or seat posts. The design of the rear light is such that it hangs down close to the tube and will foul a clamp bolt sited to the rear.

Colours are Black, Blue, Pink, Red, Translucent and White and prices £33.99 front, £31.99 rear.
