Louis Garneau Quartz helmet

The latest helmet from Louis Garneau is the Quartz, set for release in 2010, offers a lightweight and highly ventilated lid.

The use of MSB technology (a monocoque structural base that reinforces the perimeter for enhanced protection) allows for large ventilation channels while composite reinforcements spread the shock of impacts making it both airy and strong.

A patented Spiderlock Elite retention system allows for easy adjustment with just one hand and the angle of the helmet can also be tailored for the perfect fit.

Also notable is the Evacuation Channel technology, which Louis Garneau’s Pierre Perron says: “When we build a helmet, we take into account airflow, since the heat of the rider’s head must be evacuated in order to maintain performance. Moisture channels are designed to let the air in the front of the helmet flow through the helmet and exit at the back to efficiently keep the head cool.”
