We reported on the launch of the Mio 100 Series at Eurobike in September – and now the expanded range of GPS computers is available in the UK.
Mio, the cycling arm of sat nav giant Navman, launched earlier this year with the all-singing 300 Series.
The four-strong 100 Series broadens the range and Mio say the computers are aimed at sportive riders; cyclists who don’t need turn-by-turn navigation but want the benefits of a GPS computer.
UK prices have now been confirmed and the Cyclo 100 opens the range at £99.99. It Mio’s most basic computer and records a range of data, including time, speed, burned calories and distance, presented on a 1.8″ anti-glare screen.
Things start to get interesting with the Cyclo 105, Cyclo 105H and Cyclo 105HC, which are all ANT+ compatible. That means they can be used alongside a heart rate monitor and power meter.
The Cyclo 105 (£129.99) package includes just the computer, while the Cyclo 105H (£169.99) comes with a heart rate monitor and the Cyclo 105HC (£199.99) comes with a heart rate monitor and cadence sensor.
All four computers look to offer genuine competition to Garmin’s excellent Edge 200 computer. We’ve got a Mio Cyclo 105HC on the way to test to see how it fares.
