Pro bike: Tom Stewart’s Genesis Zero Team

Rising star joins Tour of Britain stage three breakaway on British's firm's new carbon bike

Genesis Bikes unveiled their first carbon fibre frame, the Zero, in August – and the British UCI Continental team Madison-Genesis has given the flagship Zero Team its first race outing at the Tour of Britain.

We took you through the Milton Keynes-based firm’s six-strong range last month and the Tour of Britain have us the chance to see it in the flesh for the first time.

Madison-Genesis rider Tom Stewart ensured the Zero got plenty of air time on stage three, as he raced towards The Tumble in the day’s breakaway , staying clear with Mike Cuming (Rapha Condor JLT) and Manuele Boaro (Tinkoff-Saxo) as the original six-man move split, until each rider finally succumbed to the peloton.

Let’s take a closer look at the Genesis Zero Team in the gallery below.
