Genesis Bikes unveiled their first carbon fibre frame, the Zero, in August – and the British UCI Continental team Madison-Genesis has given the flagship Zero Team its first race outing at the Tour of Britain.
We took you through the Milton Keynes-based firm’s six-strong range last month and the Tour of Britain have us the chance to see it in the flesh for the first time.
Madison-Genesis rider Tom Stewart ensured the Zero got plenty of air time on stage three, as he raced towards The Tumble in the day’s breakaway , staying clear with Mike Cuming (Rapha Condor JLT) and Manuele Boaro (Tinkoff-Saxo) as the original six-man move split, until each rider finally succumbed to the peloton.
