The Raleigh Militis Comp delivers a fast, enjoyable ride that engages the senses as much as the legs.
If sprinting along flat roads and sweeping through fast corners tops the ‘to do’ list for your next bike, you’ll find the Militis Comp a willing accomplice.
Endurance rides, however, are not its forte, due to a stiff, aluminium chassis that we found rewarding on shorter rides, but which we’d be unlikely to select for a sportive.
To deploy the Militis Comp for largely one-paced efforts, however, would be to squander its talents. It is in essence a crit bike, at its enjoyable best under sharp efforts, and one whose £1,500 asking price represents excellent value for money.
