Rapha have launched a Performance Skincare range to protect cyclists from the “wear and tear of road riding.”
The range, all handmade in the UK using natural ingredients, comprises chamois cream, embrocation and soap, with an expanded range included shaving cream, lip balm and sunscreen to follow next year.
The chamois cream was recently used by a team of Rapha riders on the 1910 Challenge, a 326km ride of more than 14 hours and also on the Rapha Cent Cols Challenge, climbing 100 cols in 10 days, covering 200kms per day and an average of 4000 meters of climbing per stage.
Rapha’s embrocation is made from three organic warming agents and is also rich in arnica, essential oils, vitamin E and beeswax.
And the soap, also effective for cleaning leather gloves and mitts, is inspired by the olive groves that are abundant near Mont Ventoux.
The embrocation is priced at £20, chamois cream £15 and soap £7. All three products can be bought online from www.rapha.cc.
