Rapha prepare to launch Super Lightweight Jersey

Despite the passing months, summer may seem further away than ever, but if experience of the UK’s ‘unique’ climate tells us anything, it’s to be prepared.

Rapha are set to launch their Super Lightweight Jersey this month

Alternatively, the seemingly endless deluge, which shows no sign of abating, may have convinced you to book a well earned break in warmer climes.

Either way, if you’re hoping to witness the sun at any point this season, you could do worse than clad yourself in Rapha’s brand new Super-Lightweight Jersey, available from later this week.

Its stylish appearance almost goes without saying, so we’ll skip straight to the science bit: three synthetic, ‘technical’ fabrics Rapha say have been designed specifically designed for them to dry fast when temperatures make sweating an occupational hazard.

A central cargo pocket is designed to carry an extra bottle; mesh side panels for cooling; anti-odour treatment to keep you smelling fresh despite Herculean efforts beneath a blazing sun (stay with us).

A simple, if-it-ain’t-broke design at the rear includes three pockets, one zipped for safe storage of valuables.

The jersey will be available in red, white, or blue, with a full-length zip, sewn in logo on the chest, and coloured panel on the arm – variations of the St Raphael trade team colours. It will be available in the middle of this month and will sell for £90.

Another Rapha product due for launch this month are lightweight arm screens, with a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) of 50 to shield you from the, yup, that word again, sun.
