Full Speed Ahead’s Plasma integrated cockpit combines a handlebar and stem into a single carbon/Kevlar unit. Why opt for an integrated unit? FSA say the Plasma’s design reduces weight and improves stiffness due to the elimination of the stem clamp. That comes at an almighty price, though. Otherwise, the visually striking, distinctive flattened top section of the FSA Plasma is designed to boost the aerodynamic profile of the ‘bar, while the internal cable routing – accessed via ports adjacent to the shifters – is capable of accommodating both manual and electronic systems.
