Peter Sagan gets custom ‘Tourminator’ Cannondale SuperSix Evo for Tour de France

Peter Sagan has an astounding win rate in 2012 and, having already claimed four stages of the Tour of California in May, Cannondale made a bet with the Slovak ahead of the final stage.

The terms were simple: win a fifth stage and a custom bike would be waiting at the Tour de France. Sagan triumphed and here’s the result of that wager.

Sagan was christened the Terminator during his 2009 season, when he was riding with the Cannondale Factory Racing Team, for his formidable power and strength – and ability to chew up his fair share of wheels and tyres.

That nickname has morphed into the Tourminator after Sagan’s stage one victory, after which this custom Cannondale SuperSix Evo was waiting as a surprise at the team hotel.

The machine has a skeleton on the headtube, in metallic silver with menacing green eyes. Flashes of Cannondale’s trademark neon green livery feature across the bike, including on the custom SRAM hood grips – timely considering Sagan’s position as leader of the green jersey classification.

Sagan’s bike has a custom geometry, with a 58cm top tube paired with the back end of a 54cm frame. The machine is kitted out with a SRAM Red groupset, Mavic Cosmic Carbone Ultimate wheelset, fizik Aliante saddle, Speedplay Zero Nanogram pedals and FSA cockpit.
