Shimano S3000R Overshoes (£39.99)
Shimano’s hi-viz offering in the S3000R is certainly eye-catching and a sensible option for murky winter riding – and they also do a great job at keeping your feet dry and warm in tough conditions.
Made from a thick 3mm neoprene with a protective PU water resistant coating, they can be tricky to get on at first but that secure fit makes it tougher for water to creep in through the cuff or sole.
Shimano S3000R Overshoes – review
Neoprene is used in overshoes as it retains warmth once wet (just like a wetsuit), while also offering windproofing, add we found Shimano’s S3000R overshoes to do a really impressive job at keeping your feet warm even the mercury is dipping down towards zero degrees.
If hi-viz isn’t your thing, there’s a black/blue option too, with additional reflective tabs on the heel.
