Proving that the pace of development in the cycle industry never ceases to amaze, Specialized are readying the release of an all new time trial bike.

Saxo Bank’s Olympic TT champion Fabian Cancellara was spotted recently putting some testing miles aboard a new time trial bike that is clearly work in development from the American company. As yet, there are no details on it at all, but we can tell from the photos that Specialized have started with a clean canvas and have moved away from the swooping tubes that characterise the current Transition.

The bike also sports a hinge-style head tube, as used by Felt. The frame also shares similarities with the Walser TT frame, with its straight and slim top tube and curved seat tube.
